Hello Playing For Change Family!
Yesterday we celebrated the life of a beautiful man who dedicated his existence to the pursuit of dignity and equality for all people. We thought it would be a fitting tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to release a performance from South Africa that is very dear to our hearts. Today we are proud to share Episode #24, Afro Fiesta covering Peter Tosh’s original “Equal Rights.”
Dr. King once said:
“Nonviolence is the answer to the crucial political and moral questions of our time: the need for man to overcome oppression and violence without resorting to oppression and violence. Man must evolve from all human conflict a method which rejects revenge, aggression and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is LOVE.”
Love is indeed the foundation for what we need as a human race. And in light of the recent events that have taken place in Haiti, we encourage anyone who has the inspiration and the means to help those in need, to please consider making a donation to the American Red Cross.
One Love,
Playing For Change
