Germany’s biggest newspaper, BILD, reported about the preparations NASA is making to monitor the higher levels of solar activity expected in the next few years, predicted to reach a maximum in 2012. The subject of the sun, its increased activity and its possible impact on us is finally entering the mainstream media also in Europe.
BILD emphasises the potential disruption that a gigantic solar storm could cause. It describes a “horror scenario” of “silence, darkness, chaos” as electricity grids, mobile phones, GPS navigation systems, TV and radio cease to function.
But there is scientific evidence that the increase in the solar activity could give a significant boost to human consciousness and to spiritual evolution.

The leading edge of a vast oil slick started to come ashore in Louisiana on Thursday night, a shroud of devastation falling on America’s coastline even as the blown-out BP oil well that produced it continues to belch millions of gallons of thick crude into the Gulf of Mexico for a third straight week.
At moments like this, it’s hard to see any silver lining here at all. But it’s possible there is one. Many environmentalists say that the wrenching and omnipresent images of filth and death are at last providing Americans with visible, visceral and possibly mobilizing evidence of the effects that fossil fuels are having on our environment every day.
Rick Steiner is horrified at the damage. A University of Alaska marine specialist, he’s watched cleanup efforts ever since the Exxon Valdez spill in 1989, and has learned some bitter lessons.

The basketball court is rarely, if ever, the site of a political statement, much less during an NBA playoff game. Politics are going to be center court Wednesday night.
The Suns are taking aim at Arizona’s controversial new immigration law during the Western Conference semifinals. Phoenix owner Robert Sarver is outfitting his team in “Los Suns” uniforms for Game 2 against San Antonio. The game also happens to fall on Cinco de Mayo, a traditional holiday celebrating Mexican heritage and culture.
Sarver is also using the high-profile platform to voice the organization’s frustration with the nation’s toughest law on immigration. The act, signed into law in late April, is designed to identify, prosecute and deport illegal immigrants.

Since we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, I thought I’d give you another perspective on helping our planet. I call it Vibrational Sustainability. This “green” concept allows us to go beyond recycling, planting trees and using personal care products that are free of toxins. It takes global warming and controlling emissions to an entirely new level.
I’d like to teach you about your own energetic emissions, and how you can aid the welfare of the planet and all her creatures simply by controlling your emotional output. Emotions are waveforms that influence all life around us, because everything is based in energy. Scientists have shown that all animate and inanimate objects are made of vibrating waves of electromagnetic energy. When we feel an emotion, we literally send off waves, as if we were a pebble thrown into a pond.

HAARP is a weather modification weapon, it is capable of disturbing communication, altering weather patterns and living conditions over large areas. It is the ultimate weapon of mass destruction which, as many of us believe, is being used right now. Haiti, Chile, who is next? Are we able to stop people who control HAARP?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely excited about Bloom Energy. I honestly think that their technology is a good thing for the world and that it might very well revolutionize the power infrastructure in America and throughout the world. And yes, it will create jobs and make a select few people very rich.
In fact, I think it’s so revolutionary that it doesn’t need to be inflated by false or misleading claims…which is why I’m a little put off by a few naughty little lies in the Bloom press release I got this morning.

The Bloom Box fuel cell device has been the subject of plenty of controversy since its unofficial unveiling in a 60 Minutes segment earlier this week. The device, which has already been installed on the campuses of major companies like eBay, Google, Staples, and FedEx, converts natural gas into electricity. But how efficient is it? Is the box worth the money? Amy Szoczlas Cole, the Director of eBay’s Green Team, spoke with us briefly about eBay’s installation of five Bloom Boxes.
According to Cole, the boxes take up 3,000 square feet of space and produce 500 kilowatts of power–enough to take 15% of the San Jose, California, campus’s energy use off the grid. At the moment, eBay is running its Bloom Boxes off natural gas, but the company plans to switch to biogas sometime in the near future. “We’re in the stages of finalizing the contract to turn on biogas,” Cole explained. Once the system switches to biogas, CO2 will not longer be released as a byproduct of the Bloom Box energy production process.
